Matthew Fisher v Gary Brooker and Onward Music Limited [2009] UKHL 41, 30 July 2009

The House of Lords unanimously overturned the earlier ruling of the Court of Appeal, allowing Matthew Fisher, the former Procol Harum organist, to benefit from his share in the copyright protecting the song ‘Whiter Shade of Pale’.
