Monsanto Technology LLC v Cargill International SA & Cargill plc, Patents Court, England and Wales, 9 June 2007

This case highlights potential limitations of patents relating to genetically transformed plants and animals, also providing some comfort to patentees by confirming that there is no defence to patent infringement in the UK by virtue of a sample containing only a trace of potentially infringing material.
